I was born and brought up in a small village randheesar in bikaner district. Here education facilities were very limited when I was studying in 5th standard some of my friends were applying for jnv entrance exam that’s how I came to know about jawahar navodaya vidyalayas. So I also gave entrance and fortunately I was among the successful students who got admission in jnv. In jnv I took part in every and each activities like sports, music, art, scout and adventure etc. Here I got brilliant teacher as well who always encouraged me. After 12th initially I wanted to join national defense (NDA) academy but due to some reasons I could not attend entrance for NDA. So I decided to pursue B.A. and here One of my senior suggested me to take admission in Delhi university. My grades were good so got admission easily in history honours program of Delhi university. Here also I won many prizes for inter college debate and quiz competitions. After graduation I decided to pursue masters in history and here I got all India 2nd rank in Delhi university’s history entrance examination for M.A. I was fortunate that I got chance to be student of some of the greatest historian of contemporary India. During my masters I was also qualified for the CRPF assistant commandant examination but due to personal reason I decided to pursue career in academics or civil services. During my masters I was also qualified for the NET. At present I have been teaching in Delhi University ( DU) as Assistant Professor as guest faculty. Now I have deciding to do Ph.D in history. During my all journey I got full support from my parents teachers jnv seniors and jnv friends. Importantly if I would not studied at jnv it would never be possible for a person like me to pursue higher education.

मेरा जन्म और पालन-पोषण बीकानेर जिले के एक छोटे से गाँव रणधीसर में हुआ। जब मैं ५ वीं कक्षा में पढ़ रहा था, तब शिक्षा की सुविधाएं बहुत सीमित थीं I मेरे कुछ दोस्त जेएनवी प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए आवेदन कर रहे थे, इसलिए मुझे जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालयों के बारे में पता चला। इसलिए मैंने भी प्रवेश दिया और सौभाग्य से मैं उन सफल छात्रों में से था, जिन्हें जेएनवी में प्रवेश मिला। जवाहर नवोदय विद्यालय में मैंने खेल, संगीत, कला, स्काउट तथा साहसिक आदि हर गतिविधि में भाग लिया। यहां मुझे शानदार शिक्षक भी मिले जिन्होंने मुझे हमेशा प्रोत्साहित किया। 12वीं के बाद शुरू में मैं चाहता था कि आरओ राष्ट्रीय रक्षा अकादमी में शामिल हो लेकिन कुछ कारणों से मैं एनडीए के लिए प्रवेश में शामिल नहीं हो सका। इसलिए मैंने बी.ए. करने का फैसला किया। और यहाँ मेरे एक वरिष्ठ ने मुझे दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश लेने का सुझाव दिया। मेरे ग्रेड अच्छे थे इसलिए दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के इतिहास ऑनर्स कार्यक्रम में आसानी से प्रवेश मिल गया। यहां भी मैंने इंटर कॉलेज वाद-विवाद और प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए कई पुरस्कार जीते। स्नातक स्तर की पढ़ाई के बाद मैंने इतिहास में परास्नातक करने का फैसला किया और यहां मुझे एम.ए. इतिहास के लिए दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के अखिल भारतीय प्रवेश परीक्षा में द्वितीय स्थान मिला। मैं भाग्यशाली था कि मुझे समकालीन भारत के कुछ महानतम इतिहासकारों का छात्र बनने का मौका मिला। अपने मास्टर्स के दौरान मैं सीएपीएफ सहायक कमांडेंट परीक्षा के लिए भी क्वालीफाई किया / योग्य था, लेकिन व्यक्तिगत कारणों से मैंने अकादमिक या सिविल सेवाओं में करियर बनाने का फैसला किया। अपने मास्टर्स के दौरान मैं नेट परीक्षा के लिए भी योग्य था। वर्तमान में मैं दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय में अतिथि के रूप में सहायक प्रोफेसर के रूप में पढ़ा रहा हूँ। अब मैं इतिहास में पीएचडी करने का फैसला कर रहा हूंI अपनी पूरी यात्रा के दौरान मुझे अपने माता-पिता शिक्षकों जेएनवी सीनियर्स और जेएनवी दोस्तों का पूरा समर्थन मिला। महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि अगर मैं जेएनवी में नहीं पढ़ता तो मेरे जैसे व्यक्ति के लिए उच्च शिक्षा हासिल करना कभी संभव नहीं होता I
